‘Tis the Xmas party season

Sparkles, velvet, champagne and faux fur. The Christmas party season is finally here, and we need to have a good long chat about what the attire for this cold season is.

Anything shiny, sparkly or glittery is welcomed with opened arms. Whether that’s a dress, jewellery, shoes bags. Literally anything. Velvet has recently come crashing back into fashion as well. Personally I am a massive fan of this. I have a massive collection of velvet coats, velvet boots, velvet gloves and velvet dresses. Anything velvet you can think of, I probably have it. Velvet is such a cosy, soft material it automatically makes me feel cosy. My favourite velvet combos have to be: red/ burgundy/ purple velvet with white wool tights (it makes me think of Blair Waldorf) and black or just really dark velvet with sheer black tights.

Another trend I am loving at the moment is faux fur and suede coats. It doesn’t matter whether you call them Penny Lane coats, or Afghan coats, just as long as you know what I mean. My birthday just passed, and my aunt and uncle gave me the most gorgeous afghan coat from Urban outfitters. I 100% recommend.

Gold jewellery seems to fit the whole vibe of the Christmas season, although the choice is yours, if you are more of a silver jewellery kind of person, you do you, and I’m sure you look fabulous.

I had a bit of a browse earlier, and I found some shops where I think you can find all the clothes you need for your Christmas and New Year’s parties.
